This research paper explains what the common academic discipline of basic technique of Chiba University of Commerce should be. The agenda is examined from three angles. The first angle is the new concept of liberal arts education, which is discussed on the idea of the administrative board of the university, the students, the faculties, and Japanese society. The second is factors required for the common academic discipline, including reading comprehension ability, logical thinking, ability to form words, reading previous study and way of cooperating. The third is social meaning considered with behavioral science, including to learn by mistake. Accordingly, this paper conclude that the academic discipline should be a class for research methodology and social meaning in a careful way. The aims of the class are building basic skill for faculties and to keep on learning throughout one's lives.
