typesetting system, and its most recent version LATEX,for years. The TEX (or LATEX) compiling utility produces an output file according to the Device Independent File Format (DVI). This file is usually used to conveniently preview the changes made to the source document. Existing DVI viewers are legacy applications that do not support modern interfaces such as touch input and high-resolution displays. We propose in this paper a modern DVI file viewer that aims at filling this growing gap between hardware/interface evolutions and software solutions for DVI rendering. Notably, our application supports mobile devices such as tablets with touch input.
