This paper argues that value created through AI does not accrue automatically to any party, but is attributed through distributional decisions within the firm. Drawing on Ijiri’s theory, it distinguishes benefits from sacrifices and livelihood security from additional distribution. Wages are thereby reconsidered as an institutional form through which value created by corporate activity is attributed to workers.
