A Study on Contextualization of EPOSTL in Japanese Teacher Education
The study sought to identify which EPOSTL descriptors would conform to the realities of the Japanese educational context based on the responses of the 178 student teachers who have completed their practicum. Some common perceptions were identified among student teachers. They were categorized as follows: 1) “basic instruction”, 2) “individual instruction and assessment”, 3) “advanced instruction of communicative English”.
