Sakai discussed “How to nurture autonomy in English language learning in an EFL environment like Japan” Summary: The survey results showed the use of meta-cognitive strategy separates good performers and bad ones. To enhance bad performers’ meta-cognition, two ways of scaffolding are considered effective: mentoring and dictogloss training.
