Ex-ante evaluation on public works would be done to ensure accountability in advance of preparing a budget or starting of construction in Japan. It is efficient to refer environmental information of EIA to ex-ante evaluation. But the column for environmental impact would be limited in a record of the evaluation, so it would not be able to describe all data of EIA in the record.
