In the cockpit of the legacy aircrafts, there is no room for embedding the new instruments such as the multiple functional displays those are commonly implemented in the recent aircrafts. The mobile devices nowadays such as iPad and Android tablets have the facility of GPS and the acceleration sensors. Without any local connection to VOR/DME, it is possible to use those devices for the navigating the flight path and for assist the pilot in prospecting the trajectory of the aircraft. This paper presents the prototype of the software implemented in tablets for tracking the flight path and for displaying the prospects. This type of the mobile tool can calculate the situation of the aircraft independently of the main instruments embedding to the cockpit of the aircraft. This independence from the main system will enhance the security of the cockpit system.
